Brazillian carrot, orange and chocolate cake


“Bollo de cenoura laranja com cobertura de chocolate” is a popular Brazillian cake, tasty, juicy,
soft, with a beautiful orange color and it’s very easy and quick to make.


    Sponge cake:

  • 3 middle sized carrots
  • 3 eggs M category
  • 240 ml oil
  • salt
  • 250 g wheat flour type 550
  • 1 baking powder

  • 200 g cooking chocolate
  • 0,5 l cooking cream

  • white chocolate decorations
  • 1 orange

Cooking steps

Recipe direction 1
Heat up the oven at 175°C.
Prepare the baking pan in a way you first butter it up and then cover it with flour.
Put chopped carrot into the blender, then add eggs, oil, salt and mix it all until the carrot is completely ground.
Then add sugar and mix it again.
Transfer the mixture into a mixing bowl. Continue mixing with adding the flour gradually, until all the ingredients combine evenly. In the end, add baking powder and mix it only short to combine this together.

Take the cream and the chocolate with heating them up at low flame (stir it lightly) until it boils. Cover the sponge cake layer with this mixture. Put this in the fridge.
